Why Individual Pet Care?

Your pets are just like fury, little children. But unfortunately they can't always be by your side.

Whether you need to pull a long shift at work,  or leave town, you want someone that will care for them in a professional, kind and compassionate way.

Your pets deserve to feel loved, happy and safe, even if their mom and dad can't be with them at home. I offer individual pet care, either in their home or mine.

Kennels can be very stressful for any pet. The smells of other animals, the sounds of barking dogs, a different routine, and even sometimes another dog at the boarding facility may be a bully and you fury friend has no safe place to get away for a little quiet time.

Boarding is especially hard on your senior kids.

Weight loss, stress colitis, injuries from ruff-housing with other pets, as well as the fear of abandonment are very common results from boarding your pets.

Staying in their familiar environment is a lot less stressful for them. They can sleep in their own bed, play with their toys, know their way to food , water and litter box, not to mention reading up on their pee-mails from neighborhood friends on their usual walking routes.

Also an important plus, with a pet sitter staying at your home, your house looks occupied. Therefore it is less of a target for opportunistic burglars.

If you prefer to have your little one stay at my house, my home is safe for any pet, with a lovely yard and nice trails and parks nearby. I take care of your pets like they are my own with cuddles, play time and long outings time permitting. Plus I will only take one household's dog(s) at a time, so your little one gets me and my family all to themselves. I do not take on full days of dog walking or running around from house to house either. I spend most of my time at home studying, so a little visitor would fit just right in and would not feel lonely.

At my house I can care for any well behaved dog and confined rodent, bird or reptile. Unfortunately, I do not have cats stay at my house due to someone with cat allergies in my family. But of course I'm happy to visit kitties in their home any time.

I would like to offer you a peace of mind, when you need help caring for your fur babies.

Meeting Miss Netty

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.

As long I can remember, I always had a special place in my heart for animals. Over the years I learned a lot about the care and well being of a variety of critters.

I grew up in Germany, often building housing for pets and wildlife, rehabilitating injured and abandoned animals, even turning our unused chicken coop into a cat hotel for the neighborhood's stray felines. (I was about 12 years old.)

In return animals taught me a lot. Positive attitude, loyalty and living in the moment.

I have experience with a wide range of pets and animals. While spending one summer interning in a little zoo back in Germany, I was patient with the naughty monkeys, learned to dance while cleaning the nutria enclosure (otherwise they try to nibble on my boots) and got to spend my lunch breaks with curious coaties. I very much enjoyed cleaning after and feeding all the zoo's residents.

I came to the US in 1999 and made this country my home.

In 2009 I became a certified dog trainer. It gives me great joy to be the communication link between pet parents and their dogs to help in understanding both side's needs and expectations.

I owned Netty's Tail Waggin' Pet Services from 2009 to 2018. It was a fast growing and reliable pet sitting business in Superior and surrounding areas. My team of up to 13 professional pet sitters and I took care of 450+ clients and their pets. We cared for mostly dogs and cats, as well as rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, flying squirrels, turtles, snakes, lizards, birds, chickens, hermit crabs, craw fish and fish.

Over the years I gained experience with senior pets, kittens and puppies, giving medications, from pills and ointments, to subcutaneous injections , as well as post-op physical therapy.

I sold my 5 star rated pet sitting business in July 2018 and started working in the veterinary field as a vet tech assistant and receptionist.

In the picture below you can see my bestest buddy Max. He was my loyal companion, my business side kick and my baby. Max was a Lab-Akita mix. I'm so blessed we got to spend 13 years side by side with each other. We went on countless adventures together.

After his passing in December 2019 I really missed taking care of pets as a pet sitter. So I started Miss Netty's Pet Services in June 2020.

I always felt I would to get back into the pet sitting business. It is such a rewarding job.

I can't wait to meet you and your little ones. I'm excited to hear more about your kiddos and discuss your needs for their care, so you can be at peace, knowing your pet will have a great time with Miss Netty.
